The Automation Test Analyst will be responsible for building automation tests from scratch.  Initially beginning to convert our current manual regression pack into automated tests following an agreed test strategy.  This will steadily evolve to maintaining and updating the automated test suite as we continue to deliver new capabilities.

This is a great opportunity to adapt already acquired automation skills and disciplines and have autonomy to shape the test automation strategy and be a part of building the vision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts using available tools
• Contribute to creating processes to manage the backlog of change
• Continually review / update Automation test coverage as new releases come through
• Implement innovative and creative improvements to the Automation strategy to help increase coverage and reduce risk exposure to the business
• Perform manual testing, mobile testing, API testing across our test environments as required
• Review release content and pull together necessary tests into the JIRA test cycle
• Raise detailed defects to the relevant development team in line with process
• Testing of 3rd party integrations. This includes designing bespoke integration test plans, coordinating the execution of the test plan with the relevant partner and aiding in the identification and resolution of any defects
• Support service management in the identification and resolution of live incidents for all products

Skills and Experience

Essential

• In depth knowledge & experience of automation frameworks, including Selenium WebDriver
• Experienced in using Cypress
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, ideally JavaScript.
• Minimum of 3 years’ hands on automation test creation experience
• Comfortable designing and implementing automation test scripts based on requirements
• Knowledge of test management tools and systems – such as JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr
• Ability to summarise / present technical information in a manner that is appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences
• A self-starter, ability to work on own initiative and hit the ground running, strong organisational skills
• Collaborative approach and good communicator

Desirable

• Additional scripting language skills i.e. javascript, JAVA, Python
